Sapping it up - staying buoyant, playful and regenerative

Spring is arriving and GG have been springing forward in body and mind. Below Dancer/Artist Walter Matthews plays with words and image on the coming of SPRING.

Spring Offensive

Open the doors

Let the words come out

Elbowing, edgeways, but every way out

Kick & scream winter

Time out

A new start

A spring offensive

Days for dreaming and looking over fences

And carrying flowers

Bought between the April showers

For putting in vases

and remembering faces

And gentle beautiful hats & graces

Don't rain on my easter egg parade

Tattooed men in shorts

With coloured legs and pasty faces

In the hope they get noticed

In all the right places

Open top cars and village stalls

Memorabilia convertibles

In old church halls

Please don't rain on my Easter parade.

Spring is here

But can't stay too long

Lost to summer all too soon

What would have happened if that asteroid hit the moon.

Don't rain on my soft paste egg Easter parade.

3 pancakes later!

The hot cross buns have chilled

And all the chocolate has been eaten or melted

Another Spring older

But maybe keep looking over your shoulder

Just human nature

Part of nature

So much the greater.
